Bistro59 is a small restaurant with a big French heart. It’s not that perfect. It is not state of the art. And maybe your chair squeaks a bit, and the floor feels a little slanted as you walk through the restaurant. But it is just as informal and cozy as your visit at Bistro59 should be.
And yes, we are glad to talk to you. If you want us to. About the food, the wine, the old French dishes and the glass of Crémant that sets the right pace for your evening. It is classic French, with some Danish ‘hygge’. It’s laid back. A little jazz. Some ambience from the kitchen. A scent of fresh coffee. It’s oysters, Moules Frites, Steak Tartare and Profiteroles. It’s Alsace, Burgundy, Bourdeaux and Rhône. And then it’s just us. And you and the other guests.
We just think you should drop in and settle down. Hey. It’s just a French bistro. Thomas is in the kitchen and Kent is behind the bar.

We serve lunch throughout the year on Saturdays from 12.00 to 15.00. The menu is new every day and is on the “blackboard”. But settle down – it is French.
In the “summer season” (from about April 1 to September 1) we have outdoor dining / lunch on the terrace Mondy to Saturday from 12.00 to 15.00.
We might just be a French bistro in Aalborg. But wine, is not just wine. No French Bistro without French wines from classic grapes and districts.
We love wine. We choose our own wines from different suppliers. And of course we have only wines we like to drink ourselves.
